2025 UPDATES & UPDATES

HELLO THERE!
It’s been awhile! Website hasn’t been updated for over ten years, but it works fine, updates are coming at some point. Been busy doing music (gigs, composing) and doing (slowly) Doctoral Research about the great folk singer Taavi Uutela (1883–1969) from Iitti. The working title is “Folksinger Taavi Uutela’s musicianship, folk songs and archive material as microhistorical performance” (It sounds a bit better in Finnish and the translation is not the best, heh).
Music News!!
Ne Lintuizet (a new band with Kielo Kärkkäinen, Laura Moisio and Lauri Myllymäki) is releasing a debut album TOMORROW, 16th of May, that is. Album is called “Uusi huone” (could be translated: “New Room”) it’s being published by Texicalli Records. I am really proud of how it came out and the band is great. I posted the gigs at the GIGs page.
You can get the album from all the best record stores in Finland (Levykauppa Äx, 8Raita, Swamp etc.) and YOU SHOULD! Please!
Pekko Käppi & K:H:H:L have been working with a new album as well AND it’s almost done! NEW SINGLE WILL BE OUT 23th MAY in the digital platforms (I do miss the concept of a concrete single with A-side and B-side) Music is produced by the marvelous Jussi Jaakonaho!! Check out his solo works as well!
